Fees

Radical fee transparency

We believe transparency in legal fees is especially important in investment fraud recovery, where victims have already experienced a breach of trust. Below is a clear explanation of how our fees work. We will never charge you a fee that has not been explained and agreed to in writing.

How fees are structured

Base service fee

  • · Paid upon engagement.
  • · Covers case assessment, evidence organisation, legal opinion, and initial legal actions.
  • · Non-refundable once deliverables are provided.
  • · Applies regardless of outcome.

Milestone fees

  • · Paid upon achievement of agreed milestones.
  • · Examples: case filing accepted, funds frozen, judgment obtained.
  • · Only triggered milestones are payable.
  • · Each milestone is documented in writing.

Success fee

  • · Calculated as a percentage of funds actually recovered.
  • · Payable only when money is actually returned to you.
  • · Subject to an overall fee cap.

Fee cap guarantee

Your total fees (base + milestones + success fee) will never exceed the cap agreed in writing as a percentage of the amount actually recovered. The specific cap is set before you engage Phase 2 and is fixed in the engagement agreement.

What we will NEVER charge

  • “Unfreezing fees” or “release fees.”
  • “Security deposits” or “guarantee deposits.”
  • “Technology fees” or “hacking fees.”
  • “Channel fees” or “expediting fees.”
  • Any fee payable to a personal bank account.
  • Any fee payable in cryptocurrency.

Third-party costs

Court filing fees, translation, notarisation, foreign counsel, and travel are third-party costs. They are pre-approved by you in writing, settled at actual cost, and invoiced with receipts. There is no markup.

Cooling-off period & refund

A mandatory cooling-off period follows signature of the engagement agreement. During that period you may cancel at no cost. After the cooling-off period, the base service fee is non-refundable once deliverables are provided, but the engagement agreement sets out the refund mechanism for any portion of the fee not yet earned at the date of termination.

Trust account

Recovered funds are never deposited into our operating account. All recovered amounts are held in a regulated Client Trust Account under the supervision of the relevant authority. You can verify this account independently on our Credentials page.
