Services
Compliance advisory
Advisory work for institutions, payment providers, and exchanges seeking to reduce exposure to fraud-related liability.
What this service covers
Review of AML/KYC and transaction-monitoring frameworks; incident-response playbooks; victim-facing communications policies; engagement-agreement templates for legitimate recovery services; regulatory-examination support.
When this service applies
- 01You operate a licensed exchange, payment institution, or broker that receives fraud-related inquiries.
- 02You need a written framework for responding to law-enforcement and victim freezing requests.
- 03You are preparing for a regulatory examination that will focus on fraud exposure.
- 04You are a recovery services provider that wants to align with responsible industry standards.
When this service may NOT be appropriate
Our advisory work is anchored in the same ethics as our victim-side practice. We do not advise operators who generate the fraud we represent victims against, regardless of fee.
- · Business models substantially dependent on fees levied on fraud victims.
- · Organisations unable or unwilling to implement a credible fraud-response policy.
- · Work that would conflict with pending or prior representation of fraud victims.
Our approach
- 01Gap assessment against the relevant licensing authority's standards.
- 02Drafting or review of policies, playbooks, and victim-communication templates.
- 03Training of customer-facing and compliance staff on the realistic shape of fraud cases.
- 04Ongoing retainer for incident support, examination responses, and policy refresh.
Relevant legal frameworks
Licensing statutes applicable to the client's regulated activity; AML/CFT rules; consumer-protection and data-protection rules; contractual frameworks with upstream correspondents and payment networks.
Scope limitations
We do not act as a compliance outsourcing provider. Our work is legal-advisory in nature; accountability for day-to-day compliance remains with the client's licensed compliance function.
